this comic has been my first ever finished work and i'm so so happy i did this. my comic has so much of my soul in it and i'm so happy i get to share it. all the comments everyone leaves mean so much to me and i don't reply to a lot of them but i read them all and sometimes they inspired me to keep working on my comic! i wanna thank you guys for being such considerate readers and commenters.
most of the characters are all based on my experiences and i think it's pretty obvious, but i'm telling this story for other people like me. i really hope this comic resonates with you too because it means so much to me. lwd has been in development for about two years now and i'm really glad i got to share this story with you!
there may be more content (like a guest comic or mini epilogue!) in the future, but for now, thanks for reading!
OK i dont even think i can put into words how much i enjoyed this comic but i was always so excited to see it post because i was so invested in the story and characters and just... EVERYTHING OH MY GOSH... this is such an emotional and touching story omg... thank you so much for sharing this story with us it was so good
Good work finishing the comic. I think it's sometimes better to have a story finish, than to just kinda, keep going until it fades away, as happens so often.
GOSH GOSH OKAY I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO SAY-
first of all watching this comic grow with you has been SO astounding. I remember hearing the barebones ideas of June and Cheyenne (and seeing their original designs!!!) and to look back from here is SO incredible. I've watched you pour your heart and soul into this pair and their story, and all the hours you spent brainstorming on call with me and sharing your script were such a joy to watch and be a part of.
Watching your style grow right alongside the characters was beautiful, and so was seeing you tell such a heartfelt, personal story that resonated with so many people.
June, Cheyenne, and Danny all hit incredibly close to home, and you can absolutely tell how much love and care was put into their crafting.
You're a wonderful storyteller and a FANTASTIC artist and I'm so proud to watch Long Way Down thrive :')
!!! The hope just RADIATES off this page, after everything June and Cheyenne have been through it genuinely feels like they're back stronger and better than ever!! The last few wordless pages really helped cement that feeling, like we didn't see much of their recovery but there was just enough shown that I keep thinking about it like!! These funky lesbians are gonna save the world and aaashshskfjhskdf thanks so much, life's been shit lately but this comic's been a huge comfort <3<3<3
thank you so much for the comment!!!! i'm really glad you liked that bit so much, i really wanted to show both of their recoveries in a really special way :)
BRO THIS COMIC WAS SO AMAZING I ABSOLUTELY ADORED THE AMOUNT OF TIME, BLOOD AND SWEAT PUT INTO IT and i was always so excited when it updated but if u ever make another comic or epilogues expect to see me there 110% bc ur stuff is the fucking SHIT bro it ROCKS gjgjgj
I may have just gotten here and read this in one night, but this was amazing! I am defiantly going to have to reread this. I also loved how you came up with the virus scenario and especially these characters and used it to the fullest advantage possible, everything is just great and it has been a rollercoaster of a night with this comic. That's some good freckling art and I wish you luck on whatever you do next! I want to say more, I could say more but I am lost for words, just man, this is great!
